The Sursock Museum, the Embassy of Switzerland in Lebanon, and Metropolis Cinema have the pleasure to present the second edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Beirut, taking place from Thursday 30 May to Saturday 1 June, with three outdoor screenings held at the Museum.

Join us for the launch of an edition of sound pieces by Optophono, which sounds out the spatial traces of memories, cultures, and bodies ingrained into the physical fabric of two cities: Beirut and London.

Using two voices and four hands, Engram Collective will perform a reading of an album from the Fouad Debbas Collection that brings together stories, testimonies, audio recordings, and visual manipulations.

Join us for the launch of Hassan Fathy: Earth & Utopia by Salma Samar Damluji and Viola Bertini. To mark the occasion, the authors Salma Samar Damluji and Viola Bertini will be in conversation with Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil.

The Sursock Museum is taking part in the Nuit des Musées, a city-wide event where museums open their doors late into the night.
